It Only Took 5 Months

I dunno guys, one day life sucks and you're miserable because you live with your parents in the middle of nowhere, your husband works all the time, you only see each other on the weekends, and your kids start to forget they have a dad (not really but this is for dramatic purposes so play along). And then the next day you buy a house and life is good again. Your husband still works all the time and so do you for that matter, but at least you live in the same house and sleep in the same bed and you don't have a weird uncle who lives in your basement which is the biggest bonus of all.

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! That's my front door, MY front door. I'd tell you where it is but then I'd have to kill you and that's just messy.

I still can't believe after 6 (almost) years of marriage and 2 kids, we did a truly mature thing and bought a house (because practically anyone can do those other things, I'm looking at you Teen Mom).

High fives all around.

Win Some Train Tickets And Stuff Like That

Okay hi, I'm not dead. We're trying to close on our house this week (no, really!) and it's been stressful enough to make me think that we will live there FORever once we do finally close, because in no way do I want to do this business again.

But that is secondary to the purpose of this post. Really I'm here to tell you about this whole "Day Out With Thomas" thing Heber Valley Railroad is doing.

If your kid goes crazy for trains and Thomas the Train specifically, you'll want to get in on this. You can find all the details on their facebook page HERE. Plus! They are running a contest now through May 14th to see who's the biggest Thomas the Train fan. Upload a vid of your cute little conductor to their Facebook page, get your friends and family to "like" it, and they'll select a winner each week for a family 4 pack of passes to the event. Find more details and an example video right HERE. You should totally do it, and meet me there because they gave me free tickets to post about it. The Nub is going to go bonkers, I'm such a good mom.

Anywho: that's about it. Don't leave a comment here because all the action is taking place over on Heber Valley Railroad's facebook page. Good Luck!
