Wyoming Peepers

Curiously enough, a small chunk of my daily hits come from my friend Teri's blog.

Teri and I go way back, back all the way to high school. Even though she grew up in a rival town 30 minutes from my own, we were both selected (along with our friend Dana) to spend 3 weeks when we were 15 at a University of Wyoming summer enrichment program pretending to be college students and making up stupid dances to the Spice Girls at 1 o'clock in the morning. We were the three musketeers, four if you count our friend Chelsea who looked nothing like how a 15 year old girl should. Let's just say she was not lacking in the stacked department, neither in blonde, leggy, or beautiful.  Basically, out of the four of us, I won the awkward, mid-pubescent troll award hands down. I don't miss those days at all.

Anywho, aside from all that we had a lot of fun during those three weeks. And even though during basketball and volleyball season we were sworn enemies, once the game was over that stuff didn't matter, much. Though I think out of all of us Teri was the most competitive over the whole thing. Teri got married right out of high school, she's been married for 10 years now with three beautiful daughters and a brave Army helicopter pilot husband who used to harass my brother from the stands. I think he even got thrown out of the game a few times if I remember right. Nice. We stay in touch, read each other's blogs mostly. She still looks the same as she did to me when we were in high school, sans Levi Silvertab jeans and androgynous clothes that we all sported back in those days.

Getting to the point here, Teri is cool, aside the fact that she's from Lovell, Wyoming (ZING!). I don't really stay in touch with many other people from my semi-not-really-much-at-all-beloved- home state, but for one reason or another, I have seem to have a good following of people who click over daily to read my blog via Teri's blog.

If this is you, I'm curious as to who you are exactly? So please, by all means leave a comment and say hello. I won't hold Wyoming against you. At least not entirely. If you out yourself as the blog stalker that you are (embrace it, we all do it), I might even reward you by posting a picture of the three (four?) of us from those days and you, and the rest of my readers, can get up close and personal with Slagathor the Snaggle Toothed Wonder Girl in person.

I'm still blog stalking you all the way from Arizona. :) Love your cute family! Your posts always make me smile. You were a fabulous athlete and I really enjoyed being a Lovell cheerleader. haha. My dad refereed you often, but you knew that...

Not a WY stalker, but straight up NEW MEXICO! Also, I'm not really a stalker.

Remember when my maiden name was Lovell? Probably not, because we didn't know each other back then. Too bad. We could have been good basketball rival/friends.

Lauren, yes! Haven't forgot about you down there in AZ.

Looks like so far you're the only Wyoming one who will cop to it...

Kalli - I stalk you from Teri's blog:) Your writing seriously cracks me up. I graduated with Teri and Dana...still pretty good friends in fact. I was not blessed with the athletic genes, so you prolly wouldn't know me! Robin

Still dissapointed no one got to witness our amazing dance...We owe the HSI community a huge apology for not sharing our talents with them.
I believe my husband was just jealous...and he was only thrown out once...along with his dad...so that might count as 2.

I wonder the name of your hometown. Wyoming is something of a mystery to me. I have an SIL from Powell, a former-SIL from Lovell, and various peeps in Gillette and Evanston. I would not know how to find any of those places.

(Also, have been to Rock Springs. Pretty sure everyone there is inbred and/or a pedophile.) (Unless you're from Rock Springs, in which case, totally kidding.)

I read your blog via Teri. I married Rob, Teris older brother. I started reading your blog awhile back. You blog cracks me up, I love it! I'm from Lovell and my brother Jason Wardell use to do high jump with your brother :) But I really love stalking your blog!

To be honest, I have NO CLUE how I ended up on your blog. About a year ago, blog hopping got me here and I think you're hilarious so I keep coming back. What is even more bizarre is all this talk of Lovell and Powell and small towns in Wyoming that all my life I've been certain I am the ONLY one that knows of them. My dad is a Baird from Cowley and we visit almost every year for Cowley Days (I'm not sure that is really what its called, but that's what we call it!) I'm pretty sure I'm related to most people who live in Powell, Lovell, or Cowley. As small as these places are, I swear I always run into people who are from there!

Funny enough I get a pretty big chunk of hits to my blogs from Teri's too.
I am her sister, but no longer live in Wyoming... I live in Washington now...
I jump over to your blog from hers when she actually posts and/or if I notice that you have something recent too.

It was probably my dad or Lauren's who threw Teri's brother and dad out of the games. Nobody liked being Keisel'd back in the day.
We are related, but isn't everyone from the BHB? :)
I married a guy from Lovell, but that's o.k., cuz I brought him as far away from there without leaving Utah as I could and have convinced him that that is NO PLACE to actually live. (unless you live there... but you should seriously get out for a little while at least... and I don't mean just to Laramie!!)
You should bring your boys down and hang out with Jen again, that was super fun and too long ago. Come now, we can hang out at her pool ALL day!
