These bangs, they are an adjustment.
I still have a sweaty forehead I tell you what, and I'm pretty sure we'll have to figure out something different for the summer because of it, I don't know if I thought if I'd glandurlaly (I made that up word up, can you tell?) matured out of it or what. Whatever I thought, I was wrong.
Things I realize from having bangs for 2 weeks:
You must likely wash and fix your hair every day... if you want to leave the house that is. If you don't than who really cares?
Bangs are a commitment, you must be firm in your commitment because clip on bang pieces look funny and a head band just won't cut it.
I probably should not have cut them myself, because while the front part is good, the side parts make me look a little like Tootie from the Facts of Life. Forget Yevgeny, Tootie is hot.
I think I wish they were a little longer so I could go for the side sweep every now and then. Thank you prenatal vitamins and Whobaby hormones for helping my hairs to grow extra fast to remedy this problem, except for my navel hair. That part I do not thank you for.
My mom likes my bangs. I feel so validated.
And that is all.
Do you have deep bang thoughts? Not that kind of bang you sickos, the hair kind.
13 notes:
I have had sideswept bangs for a long time. I wish I could do more blunt ones, but my hair is so fine, they get icky and greasy.
You should go get yourself some dry shampoo. It will change your life. And your bangs life.
I like your bangs.
I avoided bangs for years and years, but I have had them for the past 6 months-ish or so...and I love them! I do find they look best if I wash and style them everyday, but on days that I do not have time to wash and style (i.e. because I could not drag my butt out of bed early enough to do so) a little dry shampoo used just on my bangs is a life/looks saver. Buy it at Sally's. Trust me. You'll love it too.
My forehead is much too large to not be covered with bangs.
Bang club members unite! It's a life adjustment, I tell ya. I have super short bangs right now and I freak out a little every morning when they're sticking up all crazy like. I felt like I had something insightful to say, but turns out I don't.
Tootie was hot... so are you :)
I hope the Tootie-curled-6-inches-high-shalaqued-with-hairspray bangs make a comeback.
My mom likes my bangs, and for some reason I like them better knowing that. And since I am an every-other-day-hair-washer myself, I just deal with looking gross on day two and everyone else can just deal with it.
You're hot. I'm all for a sideswept look as you know--easier to pull back in a cute bobby pin too. Just a few more prenatal vitamins and a quick trip to a stylist and you'll be rockin' the non-Tootie bangs!
You look so fabulous in those bangs! I agree though that they are a pain to care for, and the forehead suffers.
I have no forehead, hence no bangs. So no wisdom.
I like them...its fun to have a big change without cutting all your hair off.
And congrats on your fun news!!!! Very exciting!!!
I think you look great with bangs. But, I understand the dilemma for sure. I cut mine about a month ago because it is the only drastic cut I make with my long hair & they make me feel sassy. But, I have an ultra sweaty forehead too & that sucks. But, I figure they will be side swept once the summer starts.
