we survived the first 7 days
my nub is still cute as ever
{i can't belive i grew him}
i'm learning a lot about my own insuffiencies
about depending on others
about how wonderful it is to have dinners magically show up on your doorstep
about how nice it is to have my mom come to the rescue when i suddenly develop a nasty chest cough and high fever {not fun}
she scrubbed my whole house; blinds, baseboards, EVERYTHING
AND stayed up with the nub so i could sleep
about how much i really love my man
about how much you can instantly love a little tiny person
sometimes he even opens his eyes!
i'm not quite sure what to do with myself tomorrowwhen the Connie leaves {mommy!}
and me and my nub face the day alone

I'm tearing up right now. Not sure why. Not sure whether this is hormonal or not so sorry :)...He's so beautiful and I'm so happy that he's finally here!! I remember talking during all of those months of disappointment trying to get and stay pregnant. Seeing pictures of him and hearing how happy you are just puts things in perspective. I'm so happy for you Kalli!!!! Things will be fine once your mom leaves...If not you can always call 911. Isn't that comforting? jk.

Oh, he is too cute! Aren't mom's the best!? Now that you are one, you'll start to really love yours even more. If that's possible.
Just do me a favor, and hug your mom so tight! You'll be fine, and you'll enjoy having the day alone with baby. You'll find a nice peace in being able to just stare at him and not worry about looking creepy. Plus, you totally don't have to get dressed all day!

He's adorable!! And also, I totally understand the stress of your mom leaving. Just don't feel bad if you cry a lot. Remember, it's just the sleep deprivation and the hormones. You aren't crazy.

I think I went and stayed with my mom for a month after I had Gwen. I was super scared to leave and be a mother by my big self. You'll do a great job. If you need anything, let me know.

I remember after my hubby went back to work I cried and cried. Hormones suck! He came in from work at the end of the day and the babe and I were both rocking in the nursery just crying. I think I scared him to death. :) Oh the memories!

I am lucky enough to have my mom almost next door. Lucky me I know! Sorry to rub it in! You will do just fine! Just take naps! Can I just tell you how sweet he is! Oh my gosh! I love the little mohawk! So cute! You did good!
sit in front of the tv all day and order some pizza (or have hub load you up with goodies the night before). it's not as hard as you think, it's actually kinda fun. and when you think he may be sleeping for more than 5 minutes, race off and get one little bitty thing done. Or not.
