{Me Likey}

We saw the new Indiana Jones last night
meh
not my favorite
i think George Lucas smokes rocks

moving on

me likey
Clinique Amost Makeup
tinted moisturizer

*image jacked off the internet

having been a M.A.C. purist for years
i decided it was time my tastes mature
their tinted moisturizer just wasn't cutting it anymore
plus i think the M.A.C. "artists" look like scary transvestite clowns
(who honestly wears that much make-up?)

so off i went to the Nordy's
and home i came with Clinique's Almost Makeup
i love it
i want to marry it
it is the land of milk and honey for my face
it's cheaper
and pretty sure it's better for your skin
it blends beautifully
and my skin feels like it can breathe
whatever that means
spf 15
bonus

here's where you come in:
i want to know your favorite skin-care products
from cleansers to moisturizers
to cover-up and mascara
anything for the face
let's trade tips
tell my why you love it and where you got it
give me the details

i wish you the best of memorial day weekends
be safe
and leave a comment

love Kalli

Cetaphil for washing the face, DML for moisturizing. GOOD STUFF. My mom's dermotologist gave her the DML and it's awesome. I don't have that many wrinkles (shut up, I'm 36) and I credit it to the DML and Cetaphil.

I like Bare Escentuals for my face make-up. It took me a good couple of weeks to actually like it though. It is so light and lets my face breathe. Whatever that means. Anyway, I'd never go back to my Mac face powder.

I use Olay face moisturizer with a sunscreen. I like it.

I like foundation from Lancome, and also on the cheaper end I like Physician's Formula mineral powder (and their blush rocks). Hard to match the color when you buy that stuff though - definite downside.

I only, ONLY use L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. MAC eyeliner and shadow are my favorites but I agree about the artists - they're freaky.

I, like shar, do bare escentuals for my face makeup and eye shadow LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I just scored on a sweet mascara that i totally dig and for the life of me can't remember the name and too lazy to run upstairs and check...I'll post about it in the future on the blog i'm sure. Dior eye liner...heaven I tell ya! and mac lipstick.

ps i used to only use MAC for my powder, until I saw the light and got B.E....heaven I tell ya!

I think that's the best description of the MAC girls I've ever seen. Seriously, when they train them for the job, do they show clips of the old Bozo show?

I've become cheap makeup lady in my old age. No time to drive to the mall. I do love Mary Kay's bronzer. White girls like myself need all the help we can get.

I am a Mary Kay fan. Mainly because that is all I know, so I am taking mental notes.

I like my face wash I got at Albertsons lol: Neutrogena Healthy Skin, anti-wrinkle anti-blemish cleanser for clear smooth skin.haha My face isn't so dry afterwards. and I like remover from the kitchen: Olive Oil. :) I also like olay moisturizer "complete" w/ 15 spf. as for makeup. estee lauder liner, i love this one cover girl eyeshadow n i lover their mascaras although I got this tight mascara from sephora called kiss me (it makes them long). oh n i do enjoy my marykay blush, but i dont care to buy it... I kinda go with the flow n try new stuff when needed.

makeup? what's that stuff?

use neutrogena chapstick. it's got spf and no flavor (i know how you like to seduct--a morganism--yo hubsband by licking your kisser) so you don't have to worry about needing to apply and reapply. and reapply.

Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser

At night I slather on Hydrocortizone cream. Yep, I do. It is the best thing I've found for my zits that doesn't dry me out or empty my wallet.

Smashbox Foundation Primer. The.BEST.

Any, cheap, sometimes expensive, sometimes no, foundation. Depends on my mood, and my skin at the moment.

my problem with the cetaphil is that it doesn't feel like it removes make-up very well for me...

i'm kind of wondering what foundation primer is? i mean i get the concept but tell me why it's so great?

Fig said...

Agreed about the Cetaphil - everyone swears by it but it doesn't take my makeup off and it makes everything feel slimy.

Foundation primer rocks my world! Smashbox is awesome, but I totally dig the bare esscentuals one. I have both and find that B.E. works best. You put it on first and then your powder. It makes it last all day. LOVE IT!

These days I'm loving Olay Total Effects moisturizer with tint. I feel tan without tanning. However, be warned only people with olive skin tones seem to look OK with it. If you're too fair (which you are not), it will make you look orange.

me likey the body shop spf 15 moisturizer, dave uses it too, even though he says it smells like roses. and of course you know i use hypo-allergic baby wipes to remove my makeup.

has anyone tried a Kiehl's regime?

I've heard raves about this junk, but don't really know where to start.

any users?

I usually use B.E. foundation, blush and shadow, but I recently picked up some physician's formula eyeshadow and I am loving it.
I yave yet to find a facewash that satisfactorily removes makeup--the best I've found so far is clean and clear foaming face scrub. I also really like neutrogena products for cleansing and moisturizing. Amen to the comment about the MAC girls--scary!
