Multi-Task

(not the best pic, but you get the idea)

And so, as I sit here at my desk staring cross-eyed into the deep abyss of my computer screen (with the top button of my pants comfortably undone), I find that it is indeed again Monday. The only reason that today being Monday is okay with me is the simple fact that I am one day closer to my Hawiian vacation retreat. Thursday is the day I am REALLY looking forward to. Thursday. Monday is simply a notch in my ladder, a bump in my road, a noodle on my fork (what?), and I'm alright with that.

I worked on my quilt this weekend. In fact, I got it all pieced and sewn together. I took me about 2 hours to get the first block assembled since I'm something akin to sewing impaired, but thanks to the help of my dear spouse (who sews like the wind) I was put on the right track and away I went!

I cannot guarantee that the seams are all 1/4 inch, nor can I guarantee that I cut all the squares out exactly right (I'm not the best measurer), but it looks quilt-esqe and is quilt shaped so I'm counting that as a victory.

I am kind dreading what the quilt ladies say when I go back for my 2nd class... I'm afraid I'll lash out in defense of my seams and say something like "well at least I still have all my own teeth". Pray for me, it could get ugly.

Moving on, I also cooked dinner like 3 times this last week! Hooray for the 2nd trimester!! Yesterday I made marinated steak kabobs which were ah-mazing along with some delish asparagus and a baked potato. Yes, sometimes I even surprise myself. Click HERE for the recipe.

And that's what it's about right? Never in my life did I think I would quilt or cook a nutritious and delicious meal, yet here I am, and baking a small person to boot.

Oh, and I ate an entire bag of mini-eggs by myself.

Talk about multi-tasking.

Go me.

Your skills are unmatched, your kebabs sound delicious, your quilt must be shown to us online ASAP.

I've eaten two bags of eggs in a sitting before, and felt absolutely no guilt. Who are we to resist Satan's candy?

Have one million tons of fun in Hawaii, I'm so jealous I can hardly type

Go you! Hawaii?!? I'm so excited for you. Get nice and tan!

I think that it is so funny that your husband can sew. Rock on Paul! I'm excited to see pictures of the quilt that you'll be putting on your blog soon. Right?

Eggs. Haven't ever eaten a whole bag, but I have eaten a bag of Oreos once and didn't think twice about it.

Look how productive and multi-task-ish you've become!

I've been feeling unseasonably domestic, as well. Cooking and cleaning, and sewing. It's strange. It must be the weather making me go stir crazy. It certainly isn't because I'm growing a baby like you.

And I curse those damn mini eggs. I'm eating them as we speak.

Look at you! When do I get to come over for a home cooked meal? And where in Hawaii are you going? Such a lucky (soon to be tan) girl!!!

Where are you quilting at? Are you talking classes from a place or a person? You need to post pictures of it soon.

Quilting AND Sewing? Do I need to get knocked up to want to do those things? Isn't there an easier way?
